Ives would cap property taxes at 1% to stop the decline of IL home values

March 19, 2018 – A CoreLogic report finds 135,000 Chicagoland homeowners are underwater on their mortgages. The 10% of Chicagoland homeowners underwater is twice the national rate. By contrast, the rate in New York City is 5.4% and 1.8% in LA.
